Website: http://co-opa.com February 2014, Vol. 2, Issue 14 President's Message: There has not been much flying with 20” of snow at times. Even less flying when it turned into 6” of slush. So fight the cabin fever and head to our February meeting. As usual we'll meet at the KBDN Flight services building at 6pm for tal tales of flying, enjoy our infamous potluck at 6:30pm and have a short formal meeting at 7pm. In addition Keith Muinch has a weather presentation for us to add to the excitement. The current weather forecast for our flyout is for Mostly Sunny and a high of 41F. If that holds we should be able to get a fly-out this month. Maybe Burns, Chiloquin or ??? Come to our meeting and help us decide. Ken Muinch brought along Paul Zamora as passenger. Gary Miller had Don Wilfong and Maxwell keeping an eye on his piloting. A new touch is that I filmed the outbound journey on my new GoPro Hero3. Now I just need to figure out a way to condense all that raw video into something that someone may actually watch. Stay tuned as I fmble around with it. GCD has been a favorite of ours for many years. It has several good brunch locations and this time we returned to The Outpost which is downtown on John Day Highway. Good food, good service, and a nice ambience. We explored the city area by car, lamenting that all the museums are closed on weekends. All and all another enjoyable flyout. Thanks to Pal Zamora for the fly-out photos. Newsletter Inputs: Send your newsletter tidbits to:
